The Royal Velvet brand is being reborn this year.

Under a newly forged multi-year partnership between brand owner Iconix Brand Group and Himatsingka America, Royal Velvet will be offered in several home textiles categories:

• Fashion bedding

• Sheets

• Utility bedding, including down and down alternative pillows, mattress pads and protectors

• Blankets and throws

• Bath towels, accessories, shower curtains and rugs

• Beach towels

• Pet beds and pet throws

Himatsingka will design, manufacture and distribute the full line across North America – the US, Canada and Mexico – as well as Puerto Rico. The collection is set to debut in September during New York Home Fashions Market. Retail rollout is set for spring 2020 at department and specialty stores.Royal Velvet logo

“We look forward to leveraging our integrated expertise to enhance the presence of the Royal Velvet brand across various home textile categories,” said Shrikant Himatsingka, managing director and CEO of parent company Himatsingka Group. “This new initiative is consistent with our strategy to expand our global brand portfolio in the home textile space.”

Added Bob Galvin, Iconix’s CEO and president: “Royal Velvet’s new licensing deal is part of our efforts to maximize the potential of the home brands in our portfolio.”

Royal Velvet is one of 30 brands in Iconix Brand Group’s portfolio, and one of its five home-focused brands – the others are Cannon, Fieldcrest, Charisma and Waverly.
